What is The Empress walk-in shower?

The Empress is a doorless walk-in shower from Bathing Solutions, designed for alcove or corner spaces. It uses a slip resistant low level shower tray and a thermostatically controlled mixer shower. Lengths run from 1200mm to 1800mm, with a width of either 700mm or 820mm.

Does The Empress have a shower door?

No. The Empress is designed as a doorless entry shower, so there is nothing to pull open or step around when you get in. The layout includes a drying area, and an optional splash screen is available if you want more protection for the rest of the bathroom.

What sizes does The Empress come in?

The Empress is available as an alcove or corner enclosure. Lengths range from 1200mm to 1800mm, with widths of 700mm or 820mm. A Bathing Solutions surveyor measures your bathroom before manufacture, so the enclosure is matched to the space rather than fitted around a fixed size.

Can I have a seat in The Empress?

Yes. The Empress offers a choice of wooden or padded cushion seats. Grab bars are available for extra support, and an easy glide riser rail lets you set the shower head at a comfortable height whether you are standing or seated. All of this is agreed at the survey.

Is The Empress easy to keep clean?

The Empress uses easy clean panelling instead of tiles, which means far less grout to scrub. The glass carries a clear screen protective coating that helps keep it clean and smear free. A wipe down after use is usually enough to keep it looking right.

How is the water temperature controlled in The Empress?

The Empress comes with a thermostatically controlled mixer shower. It holds the water at the temperature you set, which reduces the risk of scalding if someone runs a tap elsewhere in the house. That matters for anyone who cannot move quickly out of the water.

Is The Empress suitable for someone using a walking frame?

The doorless entry and low level tray mean there is no door to manage, which helps if you use a walking aid. Bathing Solutions does not describe The Empress as a wheelchair shower. For wheelchair use, look at The Baroness, The Imperial or the Aquarius Wet Room.

What warranty comes with The Empress?

The Empress is covered by the Bathing Solutions product warranty of up to 15 years. The length of cover varies by item, with some parts excluded and labour covered separately. Full details are confirmed with your quote.

What is included in the fitted price of The Empress?

The Empress is supplied fully fitted. That covers free design and quotation, a pre fit technical survey, full installation, all plumbing, certified electricians where required, fitting of accessories and wall and floor coverings where needed, and removal of your old bathroom. Most installations take three to five days.
