What is The Marquis walk-in shower?

The Marquis is a rectangular walk-in shower from Bathing Solutions with a fixed glass panel and a sliding door. It runs from 1000mm to 1800mm long by 700mm or 820mm wide, and sits on a slip resistant tray with a 40mm lip.

How high is the step into The Marquis?

The Marquis tray has just a 40mm lip, described on the Bathing Solutions site as one and a half inches, which reduces the risk of tripping or falling. It is a low step rather than a level entry, so there is still a small lip to cross.

What type of door does The Marquis have?

The Marquis uses a fixed glass panel with a sliding door, which can be fitted on either side. A corner version is available with an additional end panel. The door is described as having an ultra smooth action, so it takes little effort to slide open.

Can The Marquis be fitted in a corner?

Yes. As well as the standard rectangular layout, The Marquis can be configured for a corner with an additional end panel. Lengths run from 1000mm to 1800mm and widths are 700mm or 820mm, so it can be adapted to most bathroom shapes. The survey confirms the fit.

Is the glass on The Marquis treated?

Yes. The Marquis glass has a Clear Screen protective coating plus anti bacterial protection, which helps keep it clean and smear free between wipe downs. The wall panels are easy clean, so there is very little grout to maintain compared with a tiled shower.

Is The Marquis suitable for wheelchair users?

Bathing Solutions does not describe The Marquis as a wheelchair shower, and the sliding door limits how wide the opening can be. If you need wheelchair access, The Baroness, The Imperial or the Aquarius Wet Room are designed for it and allow a chair right up to the shower.

Does The Marquis include a drying area?

Yes. The Marquis includes a drying area, so you have somewhere to towel off inside the enclosure rather than stepping straight onto the bathroom floor. This is one of the practical differences between an accessible shower and a standard off the shelf cubicle.

Is the shower in The Marquis thermostatic?

Yes. The Marquis comes with a thermostatically controlled shower, which holds your chosen temperature and reduces the risk of scalding. It is a standard feature rather than an upgrade. Thermostatic mixer showers are covered by a three year product warranty.

What is included in the fitted price of The Marquis?

The Marquis is quoted as a fully fitted price covering free design and quotation, a pre fit technical survey, full installation, all plumbing, certified electricians where required, fitting accessories and wall and floor coverings where needed, removal of your old bathroom, and up to 15 years warranty.
