A walk-in shower is a low-access, step-free shower designed for easy entry—ideal for the elderly, wheelchair users, and those with mobility challenges. Unlike traditional showers, there’s no need to climb over a bathtub or step into a high tray. Simply walk in and enjoy a safer, more convenient bathing experience.

Which walk-in showers does Bathing Solutions offer?
Bathing Solutions offers six walk-in shower models: The Empress, The Marquis, The Esprit, The Baroness, The Imperial and The Elegance. The Aquarius Wet Room is also available for level access showering. Each model comes in several sizes and configurations, and a free home survey confirms which one suits your bathroom.
Are Bathing Solutions walk-in showers suitable for wheelchair users?
Not all of them. The Baroness has split folding doors that open back through 180 degrees so a wheelchair can be taken right up to the shower. The Imperial has double corner doors for the same reason. For full level access, the Aquarius Wet Room is the better option.
What sizes do Bathing Solutions walk-in showers come in?
Sizes vary by model. The Marquis runs from 1000mm to 1800mm long by 700mm or 820mm wide. The Baroness, Imperial and Elegance come in square, rectangular and alcove versions up to 1800mm. The Esprit is a quadrant shower from 900mm. A surveyor measures before anything is ordered.
Does the price include fitting?
Yes. Bathing Solutions quotes a fully fitted price that covers free design and quotation, a pre fit technical survey, full installation, all plumbing, certified electricians where required, fitting wall and floor coverings where needed, and removal of your old bathroom. There is no separate installer to arrange.
How long does it take to install a walk-in shower?
Bathing Solutions states that most installations take three to five days depending on the work required. Your advisor confirms the timescale when you place the order. Steps are taken to limit mess, and in most cases you are left without bathroom facilities for very little time.
How do walk-in showers work?
Our walk-in showers are designed for effortless use:

How high is the step into a Bathing Solutions walk-in shower?
The Marquis, The Baroness, The Imperial and The Elegance use a low level shower tray with a 40mm lip, described on site as about one and a half inches. The Empress and The Elegance are designed as doorless entry showers. A wet room removes the step altogether.
What warranty comes with a walk-in shower?
Bathing Solutions offers product warranties of up to 15 years. Cover varies depending on the item, with different lengths applying across shower trays, enclosures, screens, grab rails, seats and thermostatic mixer showers. Some parts, such as seals and rollers, are excluded, and labour is covered separately. Your installer will confirm exactly what applies to the products in your quote.
Can I get a walk-in shower at a reduced rate of VAT?
Possibly. Bathing Solutions states that depending on your age or mobility issue you may qualify for a reduced rate of VAT. Eligibility is set by HMRC rules rather than by the company, so ask your advisor to confirm your position before you place an order.
