What is The Esprit walk-in shower?

The Esprit is a quadrant walk-in shower from Bathing Solutions with curved sliding doors, described as one of their best selling models. It is available as a standard quadrant at 900mm or 1000mm square, or as an offset quadrant from 1000mm to 1200mm long.

What sizes does The Esprit come in?

The Esprit comes in two shapes. The standard quadrant is 900mm or 1000mm in both length and width. The offset quadrant runs from 1000mm to 1200mm long by 800mm or 900mm wide. A space saving version is also available for tighter bathrooms.

Is The Esprit suitable for a small bathroom?

Yes, and that is what the curved quadrant shape is for. It tucks into a corner and takes up less floor than a rectangular enclosure. Bathing Solutions also offers a space saving version of The Esprit. The smallest standard size is 900mm by 900mm.

Does The Esprit have a bottom runner to trip over?

No. The Esprit is built with no bottom runner, so there is no raised track across the entrance, and the tray is low and easy access. A bottom runner is a common trip hazard on standard shower enclosures and one reason The Esprit suits older bathers.

What doors does The Esprit have?

The Esprit uses curved sliding doors that follow the shape of the quadrant tray. They slide rather than swing outwards, so you do not need clear floor space in front of the shower to open them. That is useful in a bathroom where space is tight.

Can I have a seat in The Esprit?

Yes. The Esprit offers a choice of wooden or padded seat, and a grab bar is included. Both are agreed at the free home survey so the positions suit the person using the shower. Both are covered by the Bathing Solutions product warranty of up to 15 years.

Is The Esprit suitable for wheelchair access?

No. Bathing Solutions does not present The Esprit as a wheelchair shower, and the curved sliding doors mean the entry width is limited. For wheelchair access, The Baroness, The Imperial or the Aquarius Wet Room are the models designed to let a chair reach the shower.

How easy is The Esprit to clean?

The Esprit has easy clean wall panels rather than tiles, so there is very little grout. The glass carries clear screen protection to help stop limescale and soap marks sticking. With no bottom runner, there is also no track collecting dirt along the entrance.

What does the fitted price of The Esprit include?

The Esprit is supplied fully fitted by Bathing Solutions. The price covers free design and quotation, a pre fit technical survey, full installation, plumbing, certified electricians where required, wall and floor coverings where needed, removal of the old bathroom, and up to 15 years warranty.
