Easy Access Bathing – Bathing Comfortably and Safely

Improving Bathroom Safety

There are a number of recommendations for safe bathing that Bathing Solution’s offer with all their baths and showers. These are in the form of bathing aidsbath lifts and seats.

In addition, as our easy-access showers and walk-in baths are so easy to use, you will not have to rely on others, now or in the future, to help, thereby protecting your independence and dignity. It is easy to see why thousands of people have stopped struggling with difficult or uncomfortable conventional bathrooms, and are now, once again, enjoying bath time in total comfort and safety.

Bath Aids

Staying safe is important to you and it’s important to us. That’s why we’ve designed a range of bathroom safety aids to give you that helping hand in the home.

On a large scale you could have a complete easy access shower or bath fitted where your old, impractical bathroom once was.

  1. All of our walk-in showers feature a wide opening or easy-entry door.
  2. Using ultra-low shower trays, stepping in and out of the shower is simple and safe.
  3. With a secure foldable shower seat you can sit down and shower in comfort.

 Making your bathroom more accessible.

Level Access

With our showers, the main bath aid is designed with your feet in mind. Our level access, slip resistant, shower trays mean you don’t have to step up as high into the shower cubicle. You just walk in.

Furthermore, anti-bacterial protection built into the trays gives you a helping hand when it comes to hygiene.

Doors and Seats

Or if you prefer a bath then you might want one of our walk-in solutions. Where conventionally it would have a full side panel, ours have doors which open so you can step straight in.

Some are also fitted with power seats as bath aids to lower you into the water, no awkward bending or trying to scramble out.

Our half-length walk-in baths don’t need power chairs as the seats are built into the design. Slip-resistant and comfortable, they offer support when you need it, in around the same space as a normal shower cubicle.

Grab Bars

We also have various smaller bathing aids which can help you when the time comes to get into the tub.

For example, grab bars. They have a practical purpose in giving you something to hold onto when you’re in the bath or the shower but they can be stylish too. We’ve given them a deep, lustrous, chrome finish to complement your tap or shower heads.

If you want a bit of luxury in your deep soak bath, you could choose “CosyWarm”. It’s a heated seat which allows you to warm the backrest and chair. It even controls the temperature of the water so you don’t have to keep topping up the water if you’re really enjoying your bathtime.

They may not be the first thing that spring to mind when thinking about bath aids, but taps can be a real hindrance to some elderly people. Have you ever struggled to turn one on or off? For this reason, and again for safety, we’ve designed easy-grip, dual control taps for both temperature and flow.

There’s unique cool touch technology which ensures the bar valve stays cool to touch while it is in use. Even the water temperature is thermostatically controlled for safety. Keeping you super safe, with no more “ouch” moments.

And as with all our bathroom designs we have style in mind too. You can choose from a range of different shower head options, single mixer taps or separate hot and cold taps. And our lever option taps are even easier to switch on.

Bath Lifts

Are you having difficulty when accessing your bath? And does your lack of mobility make bathing uncomfortable? Then our bath lifts will solve this problem.Just imagine not needing to struggle when you want to while away the hours with a soak. And imagine being able to get yourself in and out of the bath, retaining dignity at the touch of a button.

  1. Bath lifts allow wheelchair users to safely raise and lower themselves into and out of the bath.
  2. Depending on the bath model, the seat maybe removed for bathers with no mobility issues.
  3. All of our baths and lifts are manufactured in our own UK factory offering superior quality.

Regain independence and make bathing a pleasure

Perhaps you or a family member is unable to use a walk-in bath. Our bath lifts will help you regain some independence and give you peace of mind if you worry about slipping or falling at bath time.

Designed for wheelchair users, our ‘Independence‘ power bath and lift is part of our bespoke range – with safe bathing in mind it comes with a contoured and slip resistant chair, and the water temperature on our taps are thermostatically controlled.
Other safety features include a grab bar at the side of the chair to hold onto and the seat is powered up and down, and from side to side. This will help you get from wheelchair to bath, lowering you at a safe height, while the leg lifting facility provides the extra help you might need.

But bath time should surely be about comfort… you can stretch your legs out with the luxury of full length bathing and furthermore our hydrotherapy option can massage away aches and pains.

In addition to a bath lift you can choose from a range of shower facilities, including overhead canopy, and sanitary ware to give your bathroom a complete stylish finish.

And the beauty of this bathing option is that it’s not just the less able-bodied members of your household who can enjoy it.

Our consultants can help choose the right bathroom for you. We offer an entire service from helping you choose your new bathroom through to installation with an extensive range of different finishes and styles.

Slip resistant tiles and flooring, a range of wall tiles, wall coverings and mosaics can give you your own personalised bathroom. So, with bespoke shower fittings and taps this means that your bathroom will be stylish as well as being safe to use.
And most importantly our bath lifts solutions keep you clean.

Bath Seats

Getting in and out of the bath can be a pain for someone with reduced or limited mobility. If that’s you then don’t give up on bathing altogether, you just need a bath seat.

Using a power seat can be a safe, easy access alternative to struggling when trying to step into a bath. And sometimes it’s not the stepping in that elderly people worry about; it’s the getting out with wet feet which can be equally unnerving.

  1. All of our baths and seats are manufactured in our own UK factory delivering superior quality.
  2. Bath seats can allow wheelchair users to safely transfer into a suitable bathing position.
  3. Baths with seats can be an ideal replacement for your old full length bath.

Using a bath seat can make bathing a pleasure again

If you’re experiencing this, then a fitted power seat could be for you. It will lower you gently, at the touch of a button into the water, enabling you to continue having relaxing baths with peace of mind about safety.

And while some baths do come with fixed bath seats, they don’t all have to. If there are more able-bodied people living in your household then you might want to consider a removable seat.

You really can have the best of both worlds with The Serenity. It features a walk-in option with a small door at the foot of the bath to enable those who have difficulty to get straight in. And the power seat will lower you into the water so you can enjoy full-length bathing.

But these bath seats can be removed to restore it to a conventional version for other family members or guests to use.

If your needs are greater, we can install bath seats for disabled people. The Independence is designed for wheelchair users because it allows you to go right up to the bath and the power seat will take you in and out.

With a contoured, slip resistant chair it works like a dream – taking you from side to side, up and down, lowering you gently into the water in the full-length bath. The seat can also include a leg lifting facility if you need further support.

If you’re more mobile, our walk-in baths designed with bath seats for elderly people, enable even easier access. With fixed chairs installed as part of the design, you walk-in, sit down and allow yourself to be immersed in water up to your shoulders – talking the phrase “deep soak” to another level.
