Disabled Walk-in Showers
Showering and washing is an everyday task which might be getting more difficult as you grow older. You might feel you have to give up on it but there are other options – for example, have you thought about walk-in showers with seats?
These could be the perfect option for you if you have trouble getting in and out of a conventional shower.
- All showers are designed for safety and comfort with features made especially for those with mobility issues or the disabled.
- Stylish and modern designs have great looks as well as practicality.
- Disabled showers are available in a range of sizes to suit most bathroom layouts.
We can create the ideal solution for you
The level-access, slip-resistant trays mean you don’t have that cumbersome climb that you might normally have to step up into a shower. Some of our designs don’t even have doors so you don’t have to struggle with those either.
Our disabled walk-in showers such as The Imperial are designed for wheelchair users. It has special features including double doors which open in the corners to allow even more access.
The glass panels and doors are half-height, so are designed for assisted showering. This means a carer or family member can reach inside to wash you as you sit on the specially designed chair. To give you a little more dignity the panels on our disabled walk-in showers are frosted.
Or do you fancy a luxury wet room? They can be a real asset to your home if you’re struggling with your current bathroom. Designed with wheelchair access in mind, it has a sloping floor which drains the water away, so there’s no need for a cubicle tray. We offer a glass panel to prevent the rest of the room getting splashed with water and various modifications such as towel rails and grab bars for extra safety.
If you’d like a more conventional shower then our all-in-one system, The Princess might be for you. As well as being a full showering facility, it has a slip-resistant tray and integral wall panels which are protected by Microshield, a built-in coating which reduces bacterial growth by up to 99%.
Another option for you could be The Marquis which is the same length as a bath. It gives you extra space to wash and the full-length easy glide door allows you to shut the world out while you relax.
Walk-in showers for disabled people don’t have to just be practical, they can be stylish. We offer a range of different finishes including different wall coverings, in different colours and style – all with hygienic wipe clean surfaces. There’s a range of different tiles and easy clean, waterproof, slip-resistant flooring to make your bathroom look and feel shiny and new.
With safety in mind our seats, which come in a choice of wood or padded material, can take the pressure off you needing to stand for periods of time. Just walk-in, sit down and shower.
In addition, our easy grip taps are thermostatically controlled and offer unique “Cool Touch” technology to ensure the bar doesn’t get hot while the shower is in use.
