Historical shower “works out” well!
26/01/2008
One of the earliest models of shower came from “across the pond” in America and was called the American Virginia Stool Shower. Developed in the 1830s, the all - wood unit was made of walnut and included a revolving seat, much like a piano stool but nothing like the luxury and safety of the seats available in “The Finesse” offered by bathing solutions. The revolving seat was placed in the bath, and a hand-operated lever pumped water up to the bather's head and shoulders. For added luxury a foot pedal controlled a scrub brush that could be worked up and down the user's back. This unit didn't only clean away the dirt and grime, it provided an aerobic workout as well!
Miracle at Bath time!!
11/01/2008
Contrary to popular belief the first Bath in England was pre the Roman invasion although it did occur in the City of Bath. More specifically at the thermal springs in bath (the only ones in Britain) at the time known and venerated by the Celtic people living in the west country before the Roman invasion. Legends tell a story of an exiled leper of royal descent, Prince Bladud, who was miraculously cured by having a bath in the waters uncovered by the pigs he was herding at the time!
Save money by showering
06/01/2008
Showering, as opposed to bathing in a bath tub, is far cheaper; Taking a shower, requires a lot less water than filling a bath tub. Filling a bath tub with hot water, will not only increase your water heating bill but also the consumption of water alone is greatly increased.

Bathing Injury Facts Released
02/01/2008
Facts released in the USA state that 370 persons of all ages sustain injuries from bathtub/shower daily in the United States. The elderly accounted for 17 percent of bathtub/shower injuries in 1989, 22 percent in 1990, and 20 percent in 1991. More elderly people were injured from using bathtub/shower than from other potentially dangerous equipment such as exercise equipment or cooking appliances. No room at home poses more threats to safety than the bathroom (King, 1992; Koncelick 1982 ; Kira, 1966). It is with this in mind that a Bathing Solutions shower, bath or wetroom can bring the peace of mind of increasing safety within the bathroom for either occupier or carer alike.
